On Thursday 2nd June Patricia and Emer attended a conference by The North Belfast Economic Forum in collaboration with Ulster University and Belfast City Council to discuss economic inactivity in North Belfast.
The conference explored ways to assist the high numbers of economically inactive people into work in North Belfast in light of the forecasted jobs through the University’s expansion and various regeneration projects taking place in the area.
During the conference Patricia and Emer led and facilitated the use of ‘Agile’ problem solving to hear views from a wide variety of stakeholders on how to raise the level of economic activity of North Belfast and how stakeholders can contribute to helping into those who are economically inactive into work.
Speakers at the event included Andrew Webb from the Economic Policy Centre at Ulster University amongst others. Overall, the conference was a success and we are very thankful to have had the opportunity to be involved.
