Belfast – Core Systems attended the Opportunity Export event on April 4 at Lagan Valley Island, Lisburn. Organised by the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, Mourne and Down District Council, the Opportunity Export Event marked the end of the Sales Accelerator Programme and highlighted export opportunities.
Mayor Cllr Scott Parson and Aid Allan Ewart welcomed Chairperson Cllr Michael Savage, host Mark Carruthers and conference attendees. The event offered a unique insight into what it takes to succeed in selling outside your home market from a first-time exporter exploring markets like the Republic of Ireland or GB or having aspirations to sell into mainland Europe or further afield.
The event provided insight into successful export journeys and an in-depth panel discussion that explored export opportunities available to MICRO and SME businesses in Northern Ireland. Representatives from Invest Northern Ireland and InterTradeIreland advised on the support available for early-stage exporters.
Co-founder of Core Systems and export champion Patricia O’Hagan was asked to participate in the panel discussion to share her experiences. She provided expert advice and the unique challenges she faced in the journey to success.
“I am delighted to attend the Opportunity Export event and to share our export experiences. Each company has its own export journey, with unique challenges. We are here, to provide insight and advice to encourage others to find success in exporting. Companies in Northern Ireland are well positioned for export success, particularly with the range of support services available to them.”Patricia O’Hagan
Core Systems is proud to be part of the conversation on maximising future economic success and to have the opportunity to offer insight for companies that wish to explore exporting further.
