Core Systems recognised for groundbreaking research project at HMP Maghaberry
Core Systems is delighted to announce we have been recognised by the ICPA Correctional Excellence Awards Program for 2015 for the research project we carried out at HMP Maghaberry.
The International Corrections and Prisons Association is an innovative, learning organisation which enhances international and inter-agency co-operation in the justice sector. The organisation actively promotes policies and standards for humane and effective correctional policies and practices, assisting in their development and implementation.
Core Systems staff spent time shadowing prison staff and analysing processes at HMP Maghaberry to gain a greater insight into prison life, staff roles and to build upon our expert knowledge of the industry. As a result, we gathered the world’s first evidence to support the use of prisoner self-service technology.
HMP Maghaberry is Northern Ireland’s only high security prison housing adult, male, long-term sentenced and remand prisoners, in both separated and integrated conditions.
Core Systems is thrilled with this award and would like to thank the ICPA for this recognition.
